Fees

Ideally, meeting weekly allows us to get the most traction with our work together, especially at the beginning. Later on, or if weekly sessions are not possible, meeting every-other-week is also an option.

Questions You May Have

  • Do you offer sliding scale?
Yes. I reserve about 1/3 of my caseload for low-income clients who would otherwise not be able to afford therapy, offering these slots at a reduced rate. If you are in need of a reduced rate, please ask whether any of these slots are currently available.
  • Do you take insurance?
While I am not in-network with any insurance companies, I am an out-of-network provider. Check with your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy. If so, I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit for reimbursement based on what your plan covers. Many clients are happy to discover that their plan covers a significant portion of the cost of out-of-network therapy services.
  • Do you accept HSA/FSA cards for payment?
    Yes.
  • How long does therapy last?
Therapy can range from several months to several years depending on the type of work that we do together. On average, I typically see clients for 1-2 years, usually weekly for much of that time and then tapering off to every other week or just meeting as needed. My desire is to help clients to do a finite amount of personal work and then “graduate” from therapy after having integrated the changes that resulted from our work together. It will always be your decision when to conclude therapy.
